Metallica to headline Formula 1 Etihad Airways Grand Prix Abu Dhabi show!

On December 6, the iconic band Metallica will perform in the United Arab Emirates for the third time in their history. Their first appearance here took place in 2011 on Yas Island, and their second show in 2013 was an incredible success, gathering a full house. Now, more than a decade later, the legendary band is returning again in December 2025.

Metallica is deservedly considered one of the most influential and commercially successful bands in the heavy metal genre. Since their formation in 1981, they have sold over 150 million copies of albums worldwide. Their latest, 11th studio album “72 Seasons”, released in 2023, received rave reviews from critics and was awarded a Grammy Award in 2024 for Best Metal Album. The band are currently in the midst of their M72 World Tour, which is now in its third year and continues to break attendance records, particularly in North America.

Concerts by world-class music stars have become an integral part of the atmosphere at the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. In previous years, legendary bands such as Muse and Foo Fighters have performed on the Yas Marina stage. The success of these events is evident: over 190,000 fans visited the Yas Marina circuit over the four days of the 2024 Grand Prix alone, many of whom also came to see the spectacular concerts.
