The legendary rock band "Metallica" is preparing to perform in Abu Dhabi at the Formula 1 competition!

Metallica is a famous American heavy metal band. It was formed in 1981 by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. Together with such bands as Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer, they formed the so-called Big Four of thrash metal, which gained worldwide recognition. The band moved from Los Angeles to San Francisco at the suggestion of new guitarist Cliff Burton, who was the only musician with a professional education and made a significant contribution to their music. They aimed to play louder and faster, their unique energy on stage quickly made them popular in the local underground heavy rock scene. This was reflected in their first demo, No life ‘til leather. Released in New Jersey, the demo caught the eye of Johnny and Marsha Zazula, owners of a record store from East Brunswick. Realizing the band's potential, Johnny offered to become their manager and sign a contract with a record company. So the band moved to New York to record their debut album. Despite a modest budget of $15,000 and the replacement of the lead guitarist with Burton, retailers refused to sell the album due to the provocative title "Metal up your ass" and cover. It was Burton who suggested a new name - "Kill 'Em All". Although this first album did not bring commercial success, it found its audience and became the starting point for a new genre - thrash metal.

As their popularity grew, it became obvious that Johnny Zazula could no longer provide financial support for the band. The second album, "Ride the lightning", was recorded in Denmark in 1984 with a budget of $30,000 and turned out to be successful. Thanks to their bright stage activity, the band gained wide popularity, and the album sold well.

Real fame came with the third album, "Master of puppets", which became popular thanks to live performances, despite the lack of rotation on the radio. The album sold millions of copies in record time. In the future, the band had many years of creativity: eleven studio albums, millions of fans around the world and many tours. "Metallica" became a true legend and a symbol of heavy music; its compositions are heard in films and video games, continuing to attract new fans to this genre. The band's third album was even included in the US National Recording Registry as a historically important work.
